Europe travel eSIM: what to know
The Europe eSIM is one prepaid data plan for 41 countries: install it once and it switches to a local partner network every time you cross a border. eSIMTrip sells 23 plans for it, from $3.00 for 1GB, 3 days.
Traveling in Europe
Europe sees backpackers, city-hoppers, and road-trippers visiting capitals like Paris, Berlin, and Rome, or exploring regions like the Alps or Greek islands. Trips range from weekend breaks to month-long adventures. Data is essential for train apps (like DB Navigator), Google Maps in pedestrian-friendly old towns, and last-minute Airbnb bookings. Ride-hailing varies by city (Bolt in Tallinn, Free Now in Lisbon).
Coverage and signal
Coverage is excellent in Western European cities and along highways like Germany's Autobahns. Remote areas like Norway's fjords, Scottish Highlands, or Spanish Pyrenees have sporadic signal. Download offline maps for islands like Santorini or national parks like Plitvice Lakes. Local apps include BlaBlaCar for rideshares and Citymapper for public transport in London, Paris, and Berlin.
Choosing the right plan
A 3GB/5-day plan fits a short city break, while 10GB covers 2 weeks of moderate use. For month-long Interrail trips or heavy streaming, choose 20GB or unlimited. The Europe-wide eSIM works across 41 countries, so no switching is needed when crossing borders like France to Switzerland or between Schengen zones.
Plans at a glance
Validity runs from 3 days to 180 days. The largest fixed plan is 100GB, 180 days for $111.00. Unlimited plans run for 3, 5, 7, 10, 15, 30 days with a daily full-speed amount of 5GB, then 1 Mbps until the day ends.

FAQs for your travel eSIM
Frequently asked questions
Which network does the Europe eSIM use?
In each of the 41 countries it joins a local partner network automatically, so you do not change anything at the border.
How much is an eSIM for Europe?
Plans start at $3.00 for 1GB, 3 days. There are 23 plans from 3 days to 180 days, including unlimited plans for 3, 5, 7, 10, 15, 30 days. Prices are in US dollars and final.
Does the Europe eSIM include a phone number?
No, it is data only. Keep your home SIM on for calls and texts, and use apps such as WhatsApp or FaceTime over the eSIM data while you are in Europe.
When should I install my eSIM for Europe?
Install it on WiFi a day or two before you leave. The plan's days only start when the eSIM first connects in one of the 41 countries, so nothing is lost by installing early.
Can I top up the Europe eSIM?
Yes, this eSIM can take another plan for Europe. You can also simply buy a second plan, which arrives as a new eSIM with its own QR code.
Can I use the eSIM for Europe in other countries?
Yes, in all 41 countries listed on this page, with one validity period and one data allowance shared across them.
When should I install my eSIM?
Install it one or two days before you leave, on a stable WiFi connection. On arrival you only switch the eSIM line on and turn on data roaming for it. Installing early does not start the validity period.
Where do I find the QR code?
Right after the purchase the eSIM appears in My eSIMs with its QR code, the SM-DP+ address and the activation code. If you only have one phone, copy the address and code and enter them by hand in the phone's eSIM settings.
Can I reinstall an eSIM I deleted?
Usually not. Most eSIM profiles can be downloaded once, so a deleted eSIM cannot be added again with the same QR code. Switch the line off instead of deleting it until your trip is over.
What do I do if I run out of data?
Buy another plan for the same destination and install it as a new eSIM; it takes about two minutes on hotel WiFi. Your phone can store several eSIMs and you choose which one carries data.
Which plan should I choose for several countries?
If all the countries are in one region, a regional plan such as Europe (41 countries) or Asia keeps you online across borders with one eSIM. If your trip crosses continents, the global plan covers 161 countries with a single eSIM.
Why can't I connect after landing?
Check that the eSIM line is on, that it is selected for mobile data and that data roaming is on for it. Then switch airplane mode on and off. If it still does not connect, pick the partner network shown on the destination page manually in the carrier settings.
Can I buy eSIMs for my family?
Yes. Choose a quantity from 1 to 100 at checkout. Every eSIM gets its own QR code, so each person installs one on their own phone.
How do I pay?
You pay for eSIMs from your account credit. Add credit from $30 with USDT (TRC20, BEP20, ERC20, Solana), USDC, BTC, ETH, BNB, SOL or LTC in the secure PayGate checkout that opens on the site. TRON USDT usually confirms in about a minute.
How do I create an account?
Press Get started. Your browser creates an account token that starts with ESM. Copy it or save it as a .txt file, tick the box and the account opens. The token is your login and your password at once, so keep it somewhere safe; there is no email or password to reset.
How do refunds work?
An eSIM that was never installed (within 30 days of purchase) or that never connected at the destination is refunded to your account credit. Credit stays in your account for your next eSIM; it is not paid out to a wallet.
Are the prices final?
Yes. Prices are in US dollars and include everything; what you see on the plan is what is taken from your credit. Network fees for your crypto top-up are shown in the checkout before you pay.
How are prices set?
We compare every plan with the public price of a leading travel eSIM seller for the same data and days, and sell it 40% lower. The comparison was last read on 4 November 2026.
Is my payment information stored?
No card data is involved. We keep your credit balance, your top-up records with the blockchain transaction id, and the eSIMs you bought. Your IP address is not stored in plain form.
